I had the opportunity to participate in the annual Hat's off for Red Cross event, which was held statewide at all Walmart locations. We had beauty queens all over collecting donations to help with the Hawaii efforts of relief! With everything going on in Japan, its a good reminder for all of us to be prepared if disaster strikes here in our own backyard! My son Brock attended with me and helped me to collect donations as well! Who can say no to a 4-year old! Overall we did very well!

Lutheran High School Concert with Roland Cazimero
Back in February I was asked to emcee the Lutheran High School's fundraiser concert with Roland Cazimero at the Hawaii Theater. The concert featured student performers and Brown Bags to Stardom 2010 winner Brianna Abrigano. The concert and fundraiser was such a success that the school was able to raise enough funds to continue education operations! I was so honored to be a part of the school's success at this event!

Epilepsy Walk-Sharon's Walk, Run, Ride
On January 31st, I was asked to volunteer at the Sharon's Walk, Run, Ride event. I had the honor of working with Treena Pieper Ms. Hawaii and Iris Ono Mrs. Hawaii Earth. Together we helped to pass out the t-shirts to the hundreds of participants who came out to participate in the various events.
It was amazing to see the young children out there participating in the Keiki walk/run around Diamond Head. They were adorable as they sprinted across the finish line.
We didnt stay long enough to cheer on the bike riders. If we had, we would have been there all day as the ride was something like 26 miles!
It was a great event for a wonderful cause!

Martin Luther King Parade
On January 17th I had the honor of riding as a special guest in the Martin Luther King Parade. It was amazing to be a part of an event that was full of hope and happiness!
Everyone watching was genuinely happy to be there and actually thanked me as I rode through the streets of Waikiki!
The lovely Alyssa Reyes Miss Teen Hawaii-World was with me during the parade. She got to ride in the awesome yellow Lamborghini. What an experience!

Breakfast with Santa
The Breakfast with Santa event was alot of fun. The first time I attended this event was in 2003 when I was Miss Hawaii USA. It was so nice to be invited back again to help out. Monies raised at this event went to help the Prevent Child Abuse program. This is one of the biggest events for the organization each year!
Waipio Christmas Parade
Each year our girls are invited to ride in the Waipio Community Christmas parade. I was able to stop by and get the girls all set up before take off. I unfortunately was unable to ride in the parade because I had agreed to attend the Prevent Child Abuse Breakfast with Santa event. So I left immediately after the parade started to head off to the next event!
My visit to ARCADIA nursing home
On November 20, I was able to be a special guest at the ARCADIA nursing home in Honolulu. I was there with Miss Teen Hawaii-World Alyssa Reyes and Lindsey Baryuga Miss Teen Hawaii. They did an awesome Hula and Tahitian dance while I emceed.
